RACHAEL'S TOP HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2025!

  • JANUARY: In light of the devastating fires in Los Angeles, Rachael Sage released her Live At Blue Rock EP – recorded at the renowned Blue Rock Studios near Austin, TX – with proceeds benefiting ongoing fire relief in LA County, via The California Community Foundation (calfund.org). The EP was first made available on Bandcamp as "pay what you can" and eventually was distributed worldwide via Universal, helping us to raise money & let our beloved LA community know how much we care! Produced by Austin-based multi-instrumentalist Katie Marie, the EP contains stripped-back live versions of "Flowers For Free", "Rebecca", and "The Other Side", featuring Rachael on piano and acoustic guitar, Katie Marie on percussion, and Kevin J. Killen on electric guitar.

  • FEBRUARY: Rachael collaborated with Pittsburgh's acclaimed dance company Attack Theatre on an evening of live music & dance. Rachael, cellist Dave Eggar, and violinist Kelly Halloran played on stage while Attack Theatre company dancers performed choreography set to Rachael's music. The sold-out evening was presented in collaboration with Women Who Rock to fundraise for Magee-Womens Research Institute, the world’s largest research institute dedicated to women’s health.

  • MAY: After several months refining mixes & album art & shooting videos (gotta incubate sometime!), Rachael finally brought Canopy to life onstage on the Spring leg of her UK "Under My Canopy Tour" with her trio, Rachael Sage & The Sequins, featuring renowned violinist Kelly Halloran (Lainey Wilson, Noah Cyrus) and Will Wilde, a fast-rising blues-rock harmonica player (Walter Trout). Along with multiple showcases at The Great Escape festival, a highlight of the tour was a special night at The Troubadour in London, where Sage was joined by special guests Kier & Maddox Jones. It was a magical night & a brilliant tour!

Also in May, Rachael joined forces with her stellar longtime band The Sequins to release "Canopy", the resolute title track from their current full-length studio album, Canopy. Equal parts emotional exhale and invitation to a more compassionate future, the inspirational anthem explores radical inclusivity, non-violence, and environmental consciousness. The debut full-band release as Rachael Sage & The Sequins was a much-needed musical reprieve from our current cultural upheaval. The official video, directed by John Shyloski, perfectly captured this milestone musical anthem!

  • JUNE: Beginning in June (and carrying through the Fall), Rachael Sage and Kristen Ford ‐ of MPress Records and Righteous Babe Records, respectively - two of independent music's most fiercely individual, genre-bending LGBTQ+ artists, teamed up to bring their new material and positive, inclusive musical message to cities large and small across the US on their "Joy = Resistance Tour"! All in all they played a ton of shows together, collaborating on stage each night and forging a friendship that no doubt will rekindle many more musical adventures to come!

Luminary guests along the tour included award-winning Americana-blues vocalist Danielle Howle (Indigo Girls), Ford's fellow RBR label-mate Jocelyn Mackenzie, Acoustic Guitarist Of The Year Christie Lenée, and LA-based irreverent singer-songwriter and viral sensation Tom Goss. A portion of proceeds from the tour benefited The Trevor Project.

Finding joy in acceptance of self and others, and the simple act of carrying on with love, it was a perfect sentiment for June and celebrating Pride and love in all forms. mpress.lnk.to/JustEnough
