"MPressFest Virtual Concert" April 25 To Feature MPress Records Artists
Livestreaming Event To Benefit Sweet Relief COVID-19 Fund
New York City indie label MPress Records has announced the first "MPressFest Virtual Concert", featuring MPress artists Rachael Sage, Seth Glier, Grace Pettis, and Dom & Sean Kelly of A Fragile Tomorrow. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25 beginning at 4:00 pm EST, simulcasting on Facebook Live and YouTube. Viewers will be encouraged to support the Sweet Relief COVID-19 Fund.
As with the rest of the music industry, the artists on the MPress roster have had to cut their touring short and are now hunkered down in their respective homes. Individually they have been doing various livestreamed performances, and this will give an opportunity for them all to come together for a good cause. The Sweet Relief COVID-19 Fund is providing needed relief to musicians and music industry workers directly impacted by the pandemic.
The "MPressFest Virtual Concert" will simulcast on both the MPress Records Facebook page and YouTube channel.

ABOUT MPRESS ARTISTS
Rachael Sage: As a 6-time Independent Music Award winner, Rachael has shared stages with artists such as Beth Hart, Indigo Girls, Marc Cohn and Sarah McLachlan. She recently wrapped-up a national tour with Howard Jones to support her current album, Character, of which The Vinyl District wrote, "Fresh, catchy, and relevant...simply breathtaking". She has also collaborated with many artists, including Judy Collins and Ani DiFranco. A philanthropic advocate who has fundraised for such causes as Homeless Youth (NN4Y), Eating Disorders Awareness (NEDA), Female Empowerment (Girls, Inc.) and World Hunger (WHY Hunger), Sage is currently raising money for God’s Love, We Deliver during her 2x weekly Facebook livestreams (Sundays at 6 EST/Music and Wednesdays at 8 EST/Kibitzing).
Seth Glier: Grammy® nominated Seth Glier is a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. NPR describes his voice as "otherworldly", while praising him as an "engaging performer and storyteller." With 5 albums and 5 Independent Music Awards, Glier has also played with a diverse group of artists, including Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, James Taylor, Ronnie Spector, and Marc Cohn. His latest album, Birds, has garnered accolades at press and radio nationwide. Glier plans to put out more music throughout the year while continuing to connect with audiences using his eclectic, often humorous, and always insightful artistry.
A Fragile Tomorrow: Singer/guitarist Sean Kelly and drummer-turned-synth player Dominic Kelly are prolific, creative polymaths. As members of A Fragile Tomorrow as well as individual solo artists, they have steadily been carving out a considerable place in the world of indie rock since their teens. Collectively with their band mates Shaun Rhoades and Brendan Kelly, AFT have constantly explored new musical territory, shifting gears in mid-2017 toward more progressive and complex compositions and production, while touring with such luminary supporters as The Bangles, Antigone Rising and Indigo Girls. While previous releases have leaned heavily on Krautrock, art rock and hip hop influences, they are currently working on more acoustic, self-produced material slated for a 2021 release. Magnet Magazine wrote "Armed with a dynamic musical vision that is experimental as well as politically charged, A Fragile Tomorrow offers an intelligent, yet contemplative outlook for the future...towards a beautiful, more united, and compassionate tomorrow."
Grace Pettis: As a card-carrying member of the south Austin scene, Grace Pettis has amassed bragging rights to spare. She is the winner of many of the nation’s most prestigious songwriting contests, including NPR's Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, and has received grants from the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation. Grace’s songs have been recorded by other esteemed artists, including Sara Hickman and Ruthie Foster, and she added to her songwriting accomplishments in 2019 by signing a publishing deal with BMG. She is also a member (along with Rebecca Loebe and BettySoo) of the Americana/folk-pop trio Nobody's Girl. Her just-released debut single for MPress Records, "Landon", is captivating, with the American Songwriter writing "As a decorated songwriter, Pettis blurs the lines between country, Americana, and folk music. Her soulful delivery of calculated lyric lines helps her tell stories for all generations".
