Rachael Sage To Perform In Global Pride 2020 Event
New York City-based musician and MPress Records artist/activist Rachael Sage has been invited to participate in the 24-hour online Global Pride 2020 event set for Saturday, June 27th. The event will be livestreamed on the Global Pride website, YouTube, and other platforms soon to be announced. This unprecedented historic celebration, with an estimated audience of 300 million, will allow many viewers to take part for the first time who are not out publicly or who live in socially conservative countries.
The event will feature speeches from world leaders, activists, human rights defenders and music artists (including Olivia Newton John, the Dixie Chicks, and Thelma Houston) who want to make sure that the spirit of Pride and social equality lives on in light of Pride events cancelled due to Covid-19.
Rachael, a 5-time Outmusic Award winner and bisexual member/supporter of the LGBTIA+ community, has performed at many Pride events in the past, including New York Pride, LA Pride, San Francisco Pride and Pride in London. Sage states, "I am incredibly honored to be a part of this celebration of our our LGBTQ+ community, honoring our history, how far we have come, and how much more we still have to do. Music is such a powerful, positive force, and I have chosen 'Sistersong' to perform because it is a rallying cry for acceptance, inclusivity and unconditional love."
Rachael is available to speak about the event and/or to catch up with about current endeavors, including the new spirit-lifting music video for her US Top-40 charting single "Blue Sky Days" and/or her self-designed Deluxe Character 2-CD Book and Deluxe Vinyl releases, both out June 5th.
