NYC-based independent labels MPress Records & ECR Music Group will celebrate the season with a special end-of-year Holiday Bash at the Bowery Electric on Wednesday, December 11th. The concert begins at 7:00 pm and will feature (in order of appearance): Miles East (ECR), Rachael Sage & The Sequins (MPress), and James Mastro & The Gold Stars (MPress) ... plus special surprise guests! From folk-rock to Americana and straight up rock ‘n roll, these three diverse artists will thrill with inventive, stellar songcraft and rock-solid musicianship. Just returned from back-to-back UK tours, alt-folk-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage will perform songs from her recent album Another Side, along with other fan favorites and an exclusive preview of tunes from her forthcoming 2025 album, Canopy. For this shindig, Sage's band The Sequins will feature violinist Kelly Halloran (Lainey Wilson, Michael Franti), Trina Hamlin (Susan Werner) on harmonica and drummer Doug Yowell (Joe Jackson, Duncan Sheik).
James Mastro (The Bongos, Ian Hunter) cheers a year in which he released his debut solo record via MPress Records, Dawn of a New Error and toured the US opening for Alejandro Escovedo (and playing in AE's band). Fresh from a tour supporting Marshall Crenshaw, James will be joined by his rockin' band The Gold Stars: Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith) on bass, Dennis Diken (The Smithereens) on drums, Chris Robertson on guitar, and Megan Reilly on backing vocals/guitar.
Miles East's recent second full length album, Between Lightning and Thunder has garnered a heap of glowing press and nearly a half a million streams worldwide. Joined by Joe Colgan on lead guitar and Nicole Alifante on backing vocals, Miles will play Between Lightning and Thunder in its entirety.
