Rachael Sage, accompanied by Sequins band members Dave Eggar (cello) and Sarah Jean (violin) will be joining wildly talented tour-mate Kristen Ford on a bunch of co-bills throughout the Southeast in August! The fun starts this week with tour stops including Asheville, Nashville, Savannah, Atlanta, Charleston and more, winding up in Philadelphia. "Live It Up", the upbeat and hopeful third single from Rachael Sage & The Sequins' forthcoming album Canopy, is out now via MPress/Universal – and you can hear it wherever you enjoy streaming or downloading your music! "Live it Up" is just the summery, upbeat piano-pop romp we need in these chaotic and altogether unpredictable times, emphasizing equality and understanding, and showcasing Rachael's signature keyboard chops along with some beautiful trumpet playing by Russ Johnson!

While they were recording in the studio, Rachael and drummer (and honorary Sequins member!) Doug Yowell (Suzanne Vega, Howard Jones) made a fun performance video for "Live It Up", and it recently premiered in MXDN (US) and MUSIC-NEWS (UK). You can watch it now on YouTube and get more than a glimpse of the making of the album, including the beautiful Steinway Rachael played on at her favorite recording studio The Carriage House, with some lovely camera work by John Shyloski capturing the creative process.

In these challenging times for the LGBTQ+ community – amidst so much funding being cut for services that save lives and provide mental health support to at-risk LGBTQ+ youth – Rachael and Team MPress will be allocating 10% of Rachael's "Joy = Resistance Tour" proceeds to one of their favorite organizations, The Trevor Project. So when you come out to hear Rachael Sage & The Sequins live this summer/fall, you'll be helping to sustain the nation's leading LGBTQ+ suicide prevention and youth counseling organization (thank you in advance for your giant heart!).
