We are perpetually finding strength and solace in our musical community and the knowledge that you have chosen to be a part of Rachael's encouraging, hopeful and uplifting ethos – where love & compassion reign supreme!!
Fittingly, this past weekend Rachael played a gig & mounted an art exhibition within the span of a few hours, and while exhaustion is the obvious side-effect of so much output on too little sleep, our felicitous leader wouldn't have it any other way. UK RADIO EMBRACES "CANOPY" – THANKS TO OUR DJ FRIENDS ACROSS THE POND!
Rachael Sage & The Sequins' debut single "Canopy" – the title track from their forthcoming album – has been burning up UK airwaves, with support from Amazing Radio, Liverpool Live, Ferndale Radio, Radio Xtra and many more! Huge thanks to our supporters at all these stations, & to everyone who's been listening. Up next: Rachael's upbeat new track "Just Enough", which came out everywhere a couple weeks back & is already getting airplay. Woohoo!
RACHAEL'S ART EXHIBITION FROM LAST WEEK NOW VIEWABLE ONLINE!
Last weekend, Rachael joined dozens of other painters and sculptors – along with a handful of musicians and dancers – in exhibiting her multimedia artwork as part of Beacon Open Studios. Her exhibition was hosted by Procario Studios, featuring lighting designer/sculptor John Procario), and spanned two large walls showing 15 of her most recent works. NYC-AREA CASTING CALL FOR RACHAEL'S NEXT VIDEO, "BELONG TO YOU"!
Rachael's casting her upcoming music video, "Belong To You" – and we want you to bring the person (or people) you love most! Filming takes place in a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Saturday July 26th, and the video will celebrate real love in all its forms – from romantic to platonic, chosen family to lifelong friendship. The concept centers around capturing genuine moments of connection, as we photograph real people and their loved ones in a portrait studio setting. The filming will document the behind-the-scenes process of those portraits being taken – and you'll get a copy of the portrait (plus a small stipend) once you're done!
LGBTQ+ couples, close friends, (grand)parents and children, people and their pets and more are all welcome! Interested? Please send a photo of you and the person (or people) you’d like to bring, along with a short description of your relationship, to casting@shadowplaypics.com.
