Hello & hope y'all are having a wonderful end-of-summer!

Things have been pretty relaxed around here lately, with Rachael & her beloved MPress Records crew enjoying some chill-time (relatively), these last few weeks. Fewer shows, more long walks, and the occasional sugar-free popsicle. Yes, very edgy stuff around here – rock 'n roll!

BUT all that summery relaxation is slowly winding down, with Rachael about to venture back across the pond to join Will Young's sold out (!) UK "Light It Up" tour. Woohoo!

Details on the September shows below, plus few other updates for your folk-pop pleasure. And don't forget: you can wear white after Labor Day!

Rachael is thrilled to be supporting Pop Idol winner Will Young on the September dates of his "Light It Up" acoustic tour across the UK! She will be accompanied by Kelly Halloran on violin and Will Wilde on harmonica, respectively. The whole tour is sold out, but you will still have some opportunities to see Rachael headlining her own gigs as well!

Rachael will be doing 3 shows of her own in September, including her debut at the legendary London venue Half Moon Putney on Sunday, September 22. This will be a special afternoon show, with the lovely Ebony Buckle also on the bill. Tickets are on sale now. Advance tickets are definitely recommended, so don't delay!

In addition, Rachael is excited to be performing at the  How The Light Gets In London festival on Hampstead Heath, London on Saturday, September 21. And she will be returning to Hull on Wednesday, September 25 to play at the Polar Bear Music Club. Tickets for both are on sale now: for complete information visit rachaelsage.com/shows.

Rachael's next album is well underway, with much of the music complete and a variety of guest musicians swinging by lately to add their musical mojo. Without giving away *too* many details, recent overdub sessions have included:

• longtime collaborator, guitarist Jack Petruzzelli (Joan Osborne, Rufus Wainwright)
• trumpet player Russ Johnson (an original member of The Sequins)
• accordion/organ player Rob Curto (a member of Rachael's first project, The Red Rubber Band)
• drummer/percussionist extraordinaire Doug Yowell (Joe Jackson, Sharon Corr)

Rachael will continue chipping away on these new recordings throughout the Fall, when she's not on the road...and in the meantime make sure to follow her on Instagram & Facebook, so you don't miss any of her behind-the-scenes updates! 

Yes, it's that time of year again...when Grammy® voting members of NARAS – including Rachael – listen to lots and lots of inspiring new music by their peers, and gear up to vote for their favorite 2024 releases. 

Rachael's latest album "Another Side" has been submitted to The Grammys® in multiple categories, including Best Folk Album & Best Arrangement.
