1. BRAND NEW VIDEO FOR “NEXUS (ACOUSTIC)”!
Thanks to everyone who has watched the new video for "Nexus (Acoustic)", and helped it garner over 75,000 views (and counting!). Directed by Nick Clark and shot by Mike Flanagan, the video features a colorful cast of NYC characters, plus Nashville drag queen Veronika Electronika. 2. UPCOMING EAST COAST SHOWS: NEW JERSEY, HUDSON VALLEY, BROOKLYN & BEYOND!
Rachael is hitting the road this summer, bringing her "Under My Canopy" tour to various listening rooms up and down the East Coast! This Saturday, July 18 she will perform at the EmpowHER event at The Ross Farm in Basking Ridge, NJ with Liz Longley, then next Thursday, July 23 she and The Sequins will return to Savage Wonder in Beacon, NY.
In August, Rachael will be making a rare appearance in Brooklyn, performing at Folkus on August 12. Then she will join Grace Morrison for some shows, including at the Park Theater in Hudson, NY, Stoltz Listening Room in Easton, MD, and debuting at The Purple Fiddle in Thomas, WV and The Listening Booth in Lewes, DE! 5. “EVERYDAY” MAXI-SINGLE AVAILABLE FOR PRE-SAVE NOW!!
Rachael Sage & The Sequins will be releasing "Everyday", the first single from their upcoming acoustic album Under My Canopy on August 7. A playful refresh of the Buddy Holly classic, this version is equally reverential and also highly personal. The song left a singular impression on Rachael at a very young age: she credits it with making her want to become a songwriter! All proceeds from the 3-track Maxi Single of "Everyday" – including stripped-down acoustic and chamber versions – will benefit The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation.
